The BBC announced that there will be a serialized Doctor Who cartoon to air on the upcoming series of Totally Doctor Who. This 13-part serial will feature the voices of both current Doctor Who actors David Tennant and Freema Agyeman as The Doctor and Martha.
Anthony Head, who played evil headmaster Mr Finch in last season's School Reunion, and whom many will remember as Giles in Buffy the Vampire Slayer, will guest star as a a new character, Baltazar - Scourge of the Galaxy.
For those not in the know, Totally Doctor Who is a magazine style show aimed at kids that covers all things Doctor Who. It started last season and airs wid week between airings of Doctor Who. Each episode features interviews with actors, directors, prop makers, and so on from the Doctor Who team, as well as a quiz contest between two young Who fans, and now some animated adventures as well.
Heres hoping the cartoon is good enough to warrant a separate show. Although as pressed for time as the normal DW production gets, that might not be feasible. It would be a great way to bring back old Doctors and companions though.
