Don't Cat

When we got into Seattle yesterday we walked around and did some looking at the shops. In one shop that I can only describe as sort of a Japanese dollar store (yen store?), I found this odd product that appears to be some sort of spikey plastic matt to keep cats off of things.

I mean really, the name says it all. But the picture makes me think that if the cat steps on the matt, a saw blade will shoot out and lop off it's head.
